I have a closed work permit on the basis of PNP nominee and expire date is Mar 2017.
My PNP(Ontario) category is "International Student with a Job Offer Stream".(Employer driven)
I have submitted an application to CIO at last Feb, and am waiting the AOR(File number).
1. If I get the AOR,
Can I apply to get an open work permit instead of closed?
Again, my closed work permit's expire date is Mar 2017.
2. If I can change to open work permit,
Can I move to another company?
You can't get an open work permit, if your nomination and PR application is based on a job offer from a specific employer. Only certain AINP nominees are excluded from this rule.
If you did somehow get an open work permit, then technically you could change employers, but you would have to verify with OPNP first to see if it would affect your nomination.

so far my understanding: when you are left with 4 months in your closed wp you can apply fr bowp...however, your time in closed wp is way beyond my understanding, if i were you i ll apply fr bowp if i hv AOR
