Hello,
I am a supply teacher. It is very common for occasional teachers to apply for Employment Insurance (EI) during breaks from work (March break, winter break, summer holiday, etc.). Is it possible for me to do so if I am sponsoring my husband during his permanent residency?
Thanks!
Yes - you can apply for and receive EI.
You just can't receive welfare / social assistance.
