Hi guys so the situation is me and my partner want to study in Canada. But after the completion of 1 or 2 semester we want to get married in India because of some family issues. Is it possible? Is it possible to get married in between study visa and then continue studies in Canada again? Do I need to inform immigration for this? What is the process? Please help regarding this.
Yeah it is possible and keep these things in mind:
- When you plan to come back to Canada will your TRV (the visa affixed on your passport) be valid then? Are you sure you'll be able to travel back due to travel restrictions?
- Is your college under approved DLIs?
- Raise a webform with title 'Change in Marital Status' in your current study permit application no. and affix your marriage certificate just in case you want to keep your mind worry-free when you apply for PR in future
