Hi there,
I am going to apply for a 16-month Master in SFU. I will bring my wife and my adopted child together to Canada. Also, I have step-children (who are my wife's children). So, I'd like to check whether anyone can help advise me:
- are my spouse' children my dependent children? Can I bring my spouse' children together with me to Canada?
- will my 16-month Master program allow me to have a 3-year work permit after graduation?
Thanks Andrew,
have you seen any info related to this enquiry "will my 16-month Master program allow me to have a 3-year work permit after graduation?"
I have searched Google and gone through a lot of pages and still could not find any source that confirm a 3-year work permit for a 16-month Master program. They just mentioned "may", so that is not guaranteed.

For what I understand, to get the three year PGWP you gotta take a course of two years, which translates in four semesters. By 16-month master you mean four semesters of four months each or a three semesters program?
