Situation: I'm waiting for the Oath ceremony (citizenship, applied in Nov-2020) and I passed previous steps (test - Jul-2021, prohibitions, language, physical presence, bg check - are complete). My current situation - I need Canadian citizenship for TN visa to commence my employment in the US. I asked IRCC for urgent processing (losing a job or job opportunity but it doesn't specify whether it's in/outside of Canada). IRCC denied my 3 requests saying that the employer has offices in Canada and I may be employed here and travel to the US using my PR. For the employer, it will not work. IRCC also said that this denial will not impact my application, it will be processed normally. I'm worrying because my urgent requests may not impact it but its context may create a wrong message and be interpreted as lack of my motivation to stay in Canada or as my willingness to move to the US and benefit from being a Canadian citizen. Which is not true. I'm trying to improve my life in Canada
Questions: Can a citizenship judge or immigration officer postpone or deny my application on this stage? What laws may prevent me from becoming a Canadian citizen?

I understand your reasoning and concerns. I don't think it (this reason alone) would prevent you from becoming a citizen. But may be there is a possibility of interview? I am not sure. Sorry, I have no basis for my comment, making this comment just to bring some traction to this post, so that it gets noticed by the seniors in this forum.

They won't have a legal justification, which means if you succeed to bring IRCC to court, the judge cannot decide in favor of not giving you the citizenship. I read more than once people calling call center and asking they are leaving Canada for work while their application is in process, and they were told it's OK. One of them got the oath recently. However, they may delay your application and withhold the real reason, and since IRCC enjoys of so much power and secrecy, it would be difficult to know why by any one, except if a judge order to provide internal documents. Has DM on your file made more than 4 months ago?

Their target for the oath is within 4 months from DM. So, are still within the target. If the wait extends beyond 5-6 months after DM, there could be something going on on your file.

I personally don't think this will cause issues. Getting rejected for UP request is pretty common and unless there are other reasons that prohibit you from becoming a citizen, this shouldn't cause any trouble.
The worst that could happen is an interview but since you've already got DM, the chances of interview are practically almost zero.
