I was invited to write the citizenship test in Ottawa on August 27th, however, I am outside Canada for vacation and my flight back to Ottawa arrives on the August 28th. I called the CIC call center and they said the only thing I can do is send a letter by mail to the Ottawa office explaining why I can't attend the exam. Is there any other way to contact the CIC local office in Ottawa to postpone the test? By phone or email?
No. You can send them a letter explaining why you are not able to attend the test. They will re-schedule it for you.
You can also fax your letter to local CIC office.
