We are also going to Calgary, if everything goes according to plan. We are planning to visit for 2 weeks this summer to complete my professional exams and probably do some preliminary work like suitable areas for accommodation, suitable schools for our kids etc. We have a few colleagues in Calgary and they've said good things about the city. We will be able to make final decision following our visit.
Payment before landing ??? Isn't it risky ??? What happen if you land in Canada with your rental agreement and find out your place and landowner does not exist ???? You paid your money, you gave away your address to the immigration.

I guess you're referring to my post. I did not just pay to a ghost landlord. I have friends in Calgary who viewed the house, signed the agreement on my behalf and paid the deposit. I am right now living in the apartment and having it before landing helped me to settle down really fast.
this is very unsual. if payment is done thry reliable site than this will never hapnd i did payment for one of my frnd online thru my credit card and his booking was confirmed in guest house but u ve to ensure u can call them to confirm or can ask familt / frnd for confirmation.

Any of you who landed in Calgary can refer me to someone from NOC1122 or help me to identify what are the requirement to work under this category. I think this NOC is regulated in Alberta and require certification of Certified Management Consultant-Alberta.
Well NOC code 1122 is not a regulated profession in Alberta.I am sorry I dont have any knowledge about assessing the credentials but it will be better for you if you could do that.
Did u get PR? I applied from Dubai on May 2010 and got file no on October. Documents updated on Jan 2011. I am waiting for medical. Any advice will be appreciated!
