Winter will be very cold in Calgary, temp go down -25c. Now oil and gas market is very dull. It may affect other industries also soon.

Weather wise both are very cold sub zero temperatures during winter months. U can land any city in Canada.

Vancouver is better weather wise. But cost of living is more than Calgary and Edmonton.
