I am curious on the PCC. When I got it (its been a few years), that time they required my passport and they had stamped the passport. So are you planning to send the passport to India and get it back with the PCC? Or has the process changed and now your dont require passport?
My question is that when filling my tax return i used different mailing address then the actual address where i was living. How will that effect my application. CIC will issue my RQ becuase of this discrepency. Should i use the same address on my citizenship application that is on my tax return.
I created a thread but did not get any reply thats why i m posting my question here.
guys.. a clarification.. since my name was long, PR card didn't have the last two letters on it. buy my lading docs and my original passport and rest of the docs have my full name.
in the citizenship form, it asks,
what was the exact name on our latest immigration documents? (PR card obviously)...

Hi Everyone. I am originally from India and eligible to apply for citizenship now. In the past 4 years, I've stayed a total of 186 days in India and need a police certificate from there. I have family in India who can procure the certificate from an authorized agency (in my case the Senior Superintendent of Police) and send it to me within 2 weeks. But on CIC's website says that this option is valid for applicants who are currently residing in India. If you live outside India, the website says that I need to get a certificate from the nearest Consulate. A certificate from the consulate with take 4-6 weeks. Do you think I can get the certificate directly from India and use that or will have to get it done through the consulate? This will speed track my application.
This is how I am reading it. You do not need to send any certificate to meet section 11. You are sending the certificate to meet proof of language, so that you are waived from taking IELTS.
I am sending my Canadian certificate which is not part of section 11 (because it was more than 5 years back). Also I am not sending transcript, just the copy of certificate.
Give employers details and location. If you're concerned attach an explanation letter explaining that you worked on several clients sites. It really won't matter as this will be for background checks / fraud prevention. As long as you're transparent and honest I don't see anyone having a problem.
