I got passport request today!!! Im Dec 2010 Quebec applicant, started processing Feb 2012, file transferred from buffalo to Ottawa June 2012, been asked to submit updated docs and RPRF recently.

i just got a following Email from Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa


This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

· Updated IMM0008 “Generic Application Form For Canada”

· Updated IMM5669 “Schedule A” for yourself and your spouse

· Updated evidence of settlement funds (showing 6 months deposits/ withdrawals history) for yourself
· Original police certificate for yourself from the State where you are currently residing
· Updated letter of current occupation (employment/studies) for yourself

One of my friend got the PPR. with 60 days time to send it to CPP-O

He went through the attorneys for the processing and the attorneys address is in Canada. But the applicant is in US.

He is not sure whether he can send the passport to Canada which is outside US. He was expecting NY office.

Any suggestions?????

Can he send the passport himself directly to NY office? The custom may have some restrictions about couriering passport across Canada. if your friend does need to mail to Canada, then make sure to check the Canada custom rules...
