Congratulations. I am pretty sure you will get a medical request as soon as CIC office opens in the new year - or even this week if they work.

Yes, you can expect the medical request soon, I think.

Thanks, little comforting news I guess.

I am assuming your certainty about the "MR as soon as CIC office opens" is nothing but a hunch, unless you have statistical data or knowledge of timeline to back that hunch. Let me know if my assumption is wrong.

Otherwise it is nothing but a waiting game, and I know I can wait.

After the previous note . i got really excited and went another discussion that is only for people who are in review status and still not got MR.

Blind me .. I saw people around mid oct hanging around. So I am not going to worry much ..

That means based on the documents you provided, you have earned at least 67 points. at this stage they might go for more background check or they will trust your documents and issue MR. I don't want to scare you, but in some cases it took several months and in some rare cases they got rejected. for a friend of mine it took 11 months!. I also know somebody got interview. just by surffing in the net,you will find tons of data.

these are my experience and really nobody knows what is going on down there!

I'm looking at the the timelines posted by gazz an have this to say ..
for all those people in FSW2 category.. i suggest reapplying in CEC category if u have finished 2 years in Canada.. my lawyer said her most recent CEC client got PR from time of submission to stamping in less than 5 months.. i just sent mine in .. i currently have 2 applications .. my old FSW and the new CEC .

just keep in mind that the quarterly updated official time line for CEC is 15 months. by adding two years experience to it, you will see the real time line. 4 or 5 month is some special cases I guess. go to "trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers" and filter for CEC class.

I said that based on experience of many people in these forums whose case moved very fast after being transferred to Detroit. Without question, Detroit has been the fastest moving visa office in US from my understanding. But yes, there are some unfortunate cases of rejection and less fortunate cases of delays due to interview, documents or other factors even in Detroit. Good that you can wait, hope that you don't have to !

Dear Friends,

I have got a strange query from Consulate. They have requested "Original sealed transcripts of degree".
My file was transferred to NY Consulate on 03rd Nov 2011.
Has anyone received such request. Any guidance/help is appreciated.

oh no .. i knew this was coming. Even i send the notarized mark sheets and certificates .. did not send a sealed copy. are you 0213 do you have a BE or MCA. Also as this in email or regular mail.

Sealed Transcripts are important.I sent out Sealed University Transcripts and got those back with the Medical Request

Review status meant 'mr on the way ' to me. I received mr letter dated dec 19 and my ecas says the review status began dec 19 as well. But it depends on the officer, I suppose.

It seems a little arbitrary from one VO to another. I have read somewhere in this forum that people successfully got visas just by providing copies of the original transcripts, although the application instructions specifically ask for transcripts in sealed envelopes. Good luck!
