Thanks and wish the same to you. Its about two years since I sent my first application to Sydney, NS (Nov 2009) and one year since it has been in process (since 19 Oct 2010) and now over to New York. Hope this is not another delaying tactic.
As mentioned in my previous post, they have moved my file from Buffalo to New York VO. Thanks and wish the same to you. I went to Canada (Toronto) in 2008 to pursue one year PG marketing management and worked there on one year PG work permit. Returned to India in July 2010 on expiry of my work permit. If I am called for an interview, I will have to travel to NY. Also, I will have to travel to NY VO to get my PR as and when approved as Indian passports can't be couriered abroad. I have 10 years visitor visa for US. One of friends who also returned to India like me, recently got an interview call from NY VO, applied for US visitor visa to appear for interview but got rejected. He is requesting NY VO to schedule his interview at ND VO, lets see what happens......

Thanks dear. You received your Buffalo AOR one week before me. Your file should also move further now. Best wishes to you too. They seem to be focussing on MI-1 applications now.
Cheers..

Congrates for taking a step forward! That's so slow! I can't not imagine that I still need to wait so long to just get my file tranfered to another office. My Goodness.
Thanks. I have heard in New Delhi that they are focussing on MI-1 applications now. This could be applicable to other VOs. Best wishes to you and all those who are waiting for next steps.

Congrats on your file moving to NY. At least now you can expect your file to move faster. I am so happy for you. You and I recieved 2nd AOR around the same time but your file got stuck in Buffalo and mine was moved to LA. I completed my landing process with my family on Sept 21 by road from Peace Bridge side. But I could not apply for PR card as they said I have to be in the Canadian address to sign for it when it comes by post. I did not want to lie and so I did not apply for the card. This is just additional info for others when they get to the landing stage.
