CAIPS are almost real time. I had approached NY VO through a Canadian MP on 10 November 2011 and VO responded to him. Content of this response is in CAIPS notes. They simply said that my file was in que for processing.

i assume they've transferred applications to other offices (not all maybe) to start clearing up the backlog. You should be looking fwd to getting your meds in a few weeks time (Jan/Feb). CAIPS i guess are not real-time updated by them.
This question may have come up thousand times on the forum. However,i just want to ask it from the guy who did it very recently.
1.How do we order CAIPS?
2.and normally how many days does it take it get CAIPS to be precise
My case was transferred from Buffalo to NY VO on Oct 5,still no push, hence just wanted to check what is NY's plan for my file.

I have one query, my daughter's photograph on Medical Request is 2 years old (since she was just 4 months old) now she has changed a lot.
The form is already having that photograph (glued with some background thick material) .. under that it says "Must be taken within six months of medical examination"
Now I'm confused, should I take out that old photo and place a new one .. or paste/staple new one on top of that or put them somewhere else.
