I hope there could be someone in this group got ME soon. Could anyone estimate when we, people on this boat (2nd Aor in Oct, 2010, for example), could get the ME? Just a probably date...

got my caips notes.. my first BFD after they gave file number to my application was April 2011.. so caips notes shows, they verified my job offer.. and thats all!
now my next bfd is september 2011 .. i've decided to give my medicals in advance .. so that when they reopen the file in September, my medical results will be on file ..
lets see if that works.. if not, then i'm going to reapply in CEC category .. enough of waiting for backlog to be cleared..
How many days did it take you to recieve CAIPS notes? I applied mine on 8 June 2011.

Can I have a medical exam done in advance to speed up my application?
No. Unless you are being sponsored as a spouse, partner or dependent child, do not initiate any medical tests until you receive instructions and a personalized medical form from this office. Only original forms issued by the visa section and indicating a valid file number will be accepted by Designated Medical Practitioners. We cannot issue medical instructions or forms until we have received your complete application.
Your examination results are only valid for 12 months from the date of your initial examination. If you are not admitted to Canada within this time, you may be required to undergo another medical examination.

yeah just saw that... but then couple of people have done it and it has worked for them.. i cant see what risks are there in doing it other than losing the fee.. can u ?
Just to confirm with you, when did they did your employment verification ?.

I also see no other. In fact I am waiting for my CAIPS and will take the same route as you are contemplating after determining next BF date. I am back in India and here it will cost approx $80 to do medicals.

In april 2011 when my BFD came up for the first time since 2nd AOR. BUt it could also have been that i have a work permit extension application submitted in March. So maybe so cross system flags got activated.
I should recheck my notes to see if any background checks are happening or not.
I also see no other. In fact I am waiting for my CAIPS and will take the same route as you are contemplating after determining next BF date. I am back in India and here it will cost approx $80 to do medicals.
A little different case but I've recieved two copies of my study permit.
But had no probelm
I guess it is just an mere error in system if the 2nd AOR numbers are the same.

Ah.... I am extending my study permit again.
I never thought I would have to do that again!!
