I got PGWP and have been employed permanently. I came to Iran on sep to visit family but i had failed to see my visa was expired. I got valid worker status until 2019. I applied for TRV on october 10. Ottawa is workong on it bcz my residence is Canada

My quesrions are:

- can i go ahead and submit my Express entry? I am invited. Or should i wait to do it after TRV?

- in the form IMM5257 for the intended time of visit i didnt know what to put so i wrote until oct 2018 (1 year) but i intend to stay forever for PR. Do i need to send the webform case specific email to explain more about intended time of visit or one year is good to get the visa?

Sure, go ahead and apply for PR. Don't wait for your TRV.

Your intended 1-year stay matches your WP. Until you get your COPR/you land, your status is temporary. Don't send the CSE

The reason i asked about PR was that: wouldnt that create a question in officers mind that i have 2 applications open ... PR contradicta TRV ... I am afraid that would make my TRV get rejected. I have been away from work for 2 months now and i must go back ... I read somewhere in internet that having a PR application open is not good for applying for TRV. Have you seen any cases that it was ok?

It is perfectly legit and it works. It is called dual intent: Having temporary resident status and intending to become a permanent resident.

You're a WP and you've received an ITA. Dual intent is clear. So go ahead and apply for your PR.

Other cases of dual intent:
1. Spousal PR applicants applying for TRVs

2. Parents who have PGP PR applications in process and then apply for TRVs
