British Citizen Visiting USA...

As a British Citizen visiting USA what do I need to cross the boarder? I am landing in Niagara Falls or Fort Erie, we intend to go shopping in Buffalo for the day. Then coming back through to Land! I have been to the USA once before in 2009 via Lewiston NY, But I forgot to surrender my Visa Waiver Card and took it to Hamilton Airport 7 months after I came back to Canada..my Visa waiver was only good for 3 months from 18th Jan 2009..Will bank statements and marriage certificate be enough to prove I returned to Canada before 26th August 2009? I am guessing this date is on record as my exit date for the USA?

did you get a stamp in ur passport from Canada POE when you came back? that should be enough

No I didnt get a stamp! They don't usually stamp passports when travelling by land from the USA To make matters worse our daughter had a waiver from in her passport too (its british) and didnt get surrendered until the same date!

could be a little problematic, a guy who works for my company had some issues but he was able to get in. Funny though everytime i've been into US at the land border ive had a stamp. Which is a complete pain in the arse because renewing passports when you've run out of pages can be costly. 23 months to go til i can apply for citizenship!!

What you can do is call the US border port you're going to ahead of time and see if they can be of any assitance
