British Citizen in Canada

Kindly tell me whether a British Citizen can work temporarily in Canada (temp work permit)? As a UK citizen, I don't need visa to visit Canada. If I go there and find a job, can I submit in country application?

Nope, you are treated the same as everyone else. Approved LMO (in most cases) and work permit either processed at Border Port or outside Canada office.
