Has ayone had experinece bringing a dog in to Canada from a country that is not rabies free? The CFIA states:
If the dog does not meet the import requirements relating to rabies certification, owners will be required, at their own expense, to do the following:
•have the animal vaccinated against rabies within a specified period of time; and
•provide the vaccination record to a Canadian Food Inspection Agency office.
Can you do this in lieu of the rabies vaccination certificate? It would be easier to take her to the vet here in Canada (I believe it states we have 14 days), then to get a vet in Mexico to do a certificate and then get it translated, and it still may not be good enough.
