This might be a really silly question, but how do you know what your "Bring Forward" date is? Will the embassy notify you in writing? Is this something only the CAIPS notes will tell you?
Once your file is "in process" does that mean that your file has already been assigned a 'bring forward" date for the next review?
And is there a standard amount of time for a BF date to be assigned? For example are BF dates every 60 days? 90 days? When ever they feel like assigning a date with out reason?
My husband's file went "in process" October 7th, but we did not get the AOR until December 16th. Do we have a BF date assigned to us?
Anyone with any kind of experience on this your help would be greatly appreciated.
I'll be interested to see what people say on this as well...
As far as I understood it, the Bring Forward date is something assigned to the file when further documentation is being requested. They then make a note on the file to check back on that file after a certain amount of time to see whether the requested documents have been submitted and, if they have, continue processing. The BF date would then depend on how much time they have allowed for submitting the document (which seems to vary by visa office and depending on what is being requestde).
On the other hand, often people seem to hear back before the deadline for submitting something has passed so perhaps the officers check periodically throughout that time.... no idea really...
Thank you waitingintz. I was not sure how the BF dates worked. Seems like lots of people have questions about it. Your information was very helpful.
So I guess until the embassy requests something from my husband, like an interview, or his passport, etc, we wouldn't have a BF date? They would just continue to process his file?
