I have a question regarding BOWP. I applied under EE in Dec, 2015. After all waiting and everything I received email from CIC that my application is rejected because it is incomplete. I recreated my EE profile with 1066 score (with OINP). My open work permit is going to expire in June 11th, 2017. I am waiting for CIC draw, hopefully I will receive ITA this wednesday if draw comes out.
When should I apply for BOWP? and how long it will take to process.?
You should apply after you submitted your PR application through EE and your current work permit is going to expire within 4 months. It takes about a month.
I would like to know whether i am eligible to apply for BOWP with ITA alone.
I am not sure whether i will receive AOR becos, my wife's medicals are on hold for her pregnancy due date.
My Employer specific work permit expires in May 2017..
Any inputs on my case is really appreciated.
In my opinion, if you get the automatic AOR letter after you submit your e-APR, you should be good to apply for BOWP. Your R10 completeness won't be done until your wife's medical arrives (if IRCC is willing to wait for it) and your BOWP application will be put on hold. If it takes long you well get implied status after your work permit expires. That means, you can stay and work for your current employer until a decision will be made on your BOWP application.
Received AOR Feb 7th through a consultant. Applied for BOWP individually on Feb 24th. How would I know if my BOWP is put "on hold"? You I status on my application page ?

I just noticed a few days ago my BOWP application status changed to On Hold I am not sure what exactly this means. Does this mean they are waiting for the R10 review check to be completed on my PR application before they can make a decision on my BOWP. I am tensed as my Post graduation open work permit expires soon on April 11, 2017.

In my opinion, your application is still in process technically. Visa officers may contact your employer to verify and it could lead to certain issues if you'll quit your job without notifying CIC.
It depends on your situation. If you were on a closed work permit and you gained extra crs points with LMIA you can't quit. If your current job was just a simple work experience, that experience was closed at the moment of ITA. In that case you can quit. Just be sure your employer will be helpful if IRCC contacts them.
my AOR is Feb 3rd
I submitted my BOWP application on Feb 5th
My PR application status has Medical pass and Background check in process on March 1st
My BOWP status got changed to On Hold today. Is that normal for them to pass medical and start background check before/same time as they do r10 check ?
