Hi,
I am applying for the BOWP and I have a difficulty in finding the right place in submitting IMM 5710. I logged into my cic account and type in applying for work permit.
Then, I answered some questions and the system asked me to apply for the temporary resident visa instead of BOWP.

Here is what cic says:

"You will need a temporary resident visa to return to Canada.

If you are working or studying in Canada, your temporary resident visa may expire at the same time as your work or study permit. If your work or study permit is expiring soon, please renew your study or work permit first. Once your study or work permit is approved, you may apply for your temporary resident visa."

Does anyone know what is the correct entry for application on BOWP?

Really need help as my WP is about to expire!!!!

Did you apply for PR already? If so, fill online application - it is faster and easier. If you're still waiting for ITA in the pool, you're not eligible for BOWP.

Yes PFSE, I already applied under EE last Aug. 08, they ask me to pay RPFRF last Oct. 05, I already paid for it.. I can apply BOWP now?

Either, you're answered some question incorrectly or you're not eligible for BOWP. If you're eligible for BOWP, the system should generate number which you would use to create WP application.

Yes. Go to "Check eligibility" tool. Answer the question. At the end you would get a number which you should use to create application in MyCIC account.

Works fine for me. Are you trying from your work place or something (they may filter out certain sites)..
