Has anyone submitted a paper BOWP application and then tried to append it? Say for example you get PNP and AOR after your WP expired but are on implied status because you already submitted a paper BOWP application? Curious on your thoughts.

Hi Guys, I am trying to apply for BOWP but when i do the 'check your eligibility' it asks if i have a lmia (which i dont) then it says in not eligible because i dont have one. What am i missing here ? please help thanks

And when i answer that i dont have avalid job offer, it only gives me the option apply for visa

i dont remember it ask for lmia. Choose that ur currently a worker and would like to live temporarily more than 6 months and simply pick the option that u have applied for PR. U ll get open work permit and temporary visa option.

So its confirmed to me now that PNP gets location specific BOWP and FSW gets BOWP with no location or employer restriction. I got my hard copy today

I m fsw inalnad and fsw doesn't get location or employer specific BOWP.

PNP gets location specific BOWP but can work for any Employer.

Its legal status, called implied status, which u can remain on as long as u get a answer on ur BOWP permit (either accepted or rejected). if accepted ur problems are over, if rejected ur implied status is over.

Hello Raj,

Congrats for getting approved your BOWP.. I guess you need to apply for TRV for getting it stamped(if you are travelling..).

Could you please share your timeline for your BOWP?

and how and when did you apply, I mean online or via paper?

and after how long you got it..? I applied on July 11th and my status is expiring last week of August..

You can work but you cant leave the border as your TRV is likely expired as well and u cant renew that without a new work visa, or make it a temporary non work visa
