Hi - I have applied for my PR on Nov 18,2015 and got AOR the same day and then applied for my BOWP on Nov 20,2015 as my current VISA/WP is expiring on Jan 26,2016.
I am planning to visit India for a Vacation in Feb 2016. Given the current timelines may or may not get the application process completed for both PR and BOWP before my travel.

Do i need to carry any specific documents (as i am implied status) while traveling out of Canada. Please advise

I believe you will not be allowed to enter Canada given the situation.

Thanks for the reply. Yes i will not be allowed to enter canada...will come back only after my PR processing is completed hopefully in March. My question was do i need to carry any specific documents while leaving canada to show i was on Implied status from Jan 2016 till the date of travel

Pretty big gamble if you ask me unless ur dont mind waiting and have nothing time consuming to do here i.e work

Pls where do i upload my AOR letter on the WP application? Do i attach it to a letter of explanation? Also Do i have to Fill out the Schedule 1? I dont recall ever doing that

i got bc pnp in december 2015 and after few days my work permit got expired.
i applied for extension in july 2015 and my application is still in process.
i sent copy of my pnp certificate and support letter to cic 10 days ago.
When do you think i can get my work permit?

My open work permit is expiring on 27 Feb 16, Currently sitting @ crs 451, not sure if I will get ITA before this date however the recent trend is positive given crs reached 453 in last draw. Another option is getting pnp from ontario which I applied in Nov 9th (no movement in application so far, no AOR yet ), not sure if I will be able to get nomination before 27 feb.

What do you guys think about my chances? will I be able to get ITA before 27 feb ?

I know only one person (seemalz) who is able to get extension without ITA/PNP. On the other hand one of my friend who applied with-out ITA got his application rejected (though he later got PNP and ITA and passed eligibility before processing of his BOWP application). The reason for rejection given by CIC was that they only consider the status when the BOWP application was submitted.

Hello Guys,


1. I got my EE "AOR" the same day I submitted my profile. My current status is:

19 Feb 2016 - Filed Application (Insland - Temporary worker LMO-exempt)
22 Feb 2016 - Applied for BOWP
03 Mar 2016 - IELTS requested (main applicant)
04 Mar 2016 - CELPIP requested (spouse)
04 Mar 2016 - Medical Passed
04 Mar 2016 - Background check in Progress

2. My current work permit is expiring on 27th may, 2016.

3. Already applied for BOWP. CIC call center agent said that I can apply for BOWP with my "AOR", but I can only do Paper Application. They will wait for my PR eligibility review and then process the BOWP application.

Somebody said to me that, I can start working for a new employer (change my job while having closed work permit) as I have already applied for BOWP.

Can I change my employer in my situation?

Please suggest!!
