BOWP without PGWP?

Hi Everyone! I have a question, I have submitted a PR application thru PNP (AOR April 7, 2022) and now I'm waiting for my school's completion certificate so I can apply for a PGWP. My question is, am I eligible to apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit right now? I'm thinking if I can do this, I won't apply for a PGWP anymore.

I have only held a Student Permit and a Coop Work Permit, I read that one of the requirements for BOWP is a previous work permit? Thank you and I appreciate your help.

You need to apply for PGWP. The bridging open work permit is only valid for a year.
