I knew it! Well just one more! I heard a rumor about CiC sending more staff to the VO to help speed things up. Hope is true so we all can be done with it faster. Theres another rule that came up, its on the cic web site. No biggie, The new rules apply to spouses or partners in a relationship of two years or less and who have no children in common with their sponsor at the time they submit their sponsorship application. The spouse or partner must live in a legitimate relationship with their sponsor for two years from the day on which they receive their permanent resident status in Canada. The status of the sponsored spouse or partner may be revoked if they do not remain in the relationship.

yeah! It has taken so long because is not a routine case, reason being; refugee claim denied so departure order became a deportation order. So we had to apply for an Authorization to return to Canada back in March. Now we are just waiting for background checks.
