i think marriage certificate tells your birthday as well. if you are a single, need birth cert. i guess.

Marriage certificate doesnot say birth date...........however his 10th certificate shows the birth date.............place of birth only in passport. Does this cause any issues.
Folks, the birth certificate is REQUIRED of all persons included on the application, not just the principal applicant. This information is clearly indicated in our handy-dandy checklist.

The marriage certificate only confirms that you're married, it doesn't serve as an identification
How are you proving your identification to CIC? Sometime if you are lucky you might get an easier VO and you wouldn't need to submit it. But if you get a VO that goes by the book and they have birth certificate as a requirement on the check list, they will ask you to send it in. Not sending it will delay your application so might as well send it
