Hello folks,

i need some clarification on birth Certificate, will a BS issued by Indian embassy be acceptable for PR?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Rahul

Hello,I also do not have birth certificate so I got it from Indian embassy.I dont know whether it is acceptable or not but I do not have any other option.Beside this u can also make a affadavit made by ur parents that u r their son or daughter and was born on this date at this place.it will have signature of both of them.A lawyer or public notary can easily make it in india.I dont know about ur country.
Regards

Re: Birth Certificate from Indian EMbassy - Are they accepted for PR? (PMM/Other

My wife has applied for a student visa and she submitted the Birth Certificate from the Indian Embassy. she got her visa so i hope there are no problems as it seems to be an authenticated document.

Regards
Ron

I have seen some cases mentioned in this forum for having applied with birth certificate issued by embassy. Not heard of any rejections so far. I have used birth certificate issued by embassy. My application currently under review at local visa office.

Thank you guys for the information.

Please keep posting if anyone else has a success history with this subject.

Thanks,
Rahul

Hi,
I applied for FSW[1] in Apr 2004 and later submitted AEO in Oct 2008 when CIC asked for updated documents from me.
On March 24th 2009 I received a letter from CIC New Delhi that I need to get my medicals done and alongwith that, they asked me to submit my passports and RPRF.
I got my medical done on Apr 7th 2009 and on Apr 8th 2009 I sent Medical Receipts , Passport and the Draft for RPRF fees to CHC New Delhi.
Medicals were sent by the Doctor to CHC on Apr 16th 2009.
I received the receipt of draft from CHC on Apr 24th 2009.
Later i received another letter from CHC asking me to submit the Date of birth certificate of my daughter which i did on May 30th 2009.
Can anyone please tell me that how much time will they take to make a decision now?

Helo
