We have applied for a tourist visa and the application is uploaded and fee is paid. I am not able to get biometrics appointment for the next 14 days. Do they process my visa application even of the biometrics is pending or they will not process the application until the biometrics is completed ? How long will it take for the processing of visa ? I am currently residing in USA on H4
 
Hi, even I applied for tourist visa from USA and I’m on H4. Got the biometrics don’t from uscis. What is your purpose of visit ?

My purpose is tourism.
I am not able to get the biometrics appointment for the next four weeks.
Is my application not processed until the biometrics is not done?

Yes my purpose of visit is the same. Planning to meet a friend , I got my biometrics done from USCIS Oakland , didn’t take an appointment went through walk-in and got it done. The appointment wait time was a lot , took a chance.
 
Applications will not be processed until we don’t give our biometrics.

Processing and time starts after biometrics. Just visit office directly and try to get a chance for biometrics without appointment

Hey can I know your application timeline ? at what stage it is in right now ? I have applied in April I guess, so far no updates.

I submitted mine last week only , 29th august. Right now when I open my background check is in process but eligibility review hasn’t started yet. What about you ?

submitted in April. biometrics done couple days later, eligibility review started last month mid.

I got the appointment for 29th September. But I took a chance and went to the USCIS, Houston and completed the biometrics today.
