Hi there even if dependent is not accompanying, Still needs biometrics otherwise criminality of dependent can never start.
I am in similar boat as my eligibility security and criminality are done but only criminality of spouse is pending as IRCC couldn’t confirm if she is in canada which she is and her biometrics are also on file since feb 2020. I gave mine in October and my criminality was done in 2 days.
I just don’t understand how IRCC is dealing with cases.

Thanks for sharing this.
however the consultant that I filed my application with was telling me that all the applications filed after me actually got biometrics for their dependents even though dependents are non accompanying.
more importantly I called IRCC and the agent also asked about my dependent’s biometrics enrolment date as he said it is important for all the dependent to have biometrics.
IRCC agent now has requested visa officer with the message to look into the matter.
Hi, just want to know if anyone has any idea if we can go for biometrics without any passport and just the BIL? I have renewed my passport and it will not be available anytime soon. Hope someone can shed some light. Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone,
AOR- 25 Sept CEC INLAND WITH LMI
BIOMERTIRCS- should be exempted as I gave them a year ago.
My agent has access to the online account, so I cannot check it and I check the status of m application through an automated system by ircc. (by calling their customer service number).
When I call it it says we have received your application on 25 September
We are reviewing you eligibility
we do not need your fingerprints. we will let you know if it changes
we do not need any other documents
we are processing your background check
It doesn't says anything if my medicals are passed or If I am exempted from biometrics( have they already updated my biometrics from previous file. )
So If anyone had a similar situation or is aware of this process please tell me what step I am on, are my medicals already passed , are my bio updated. etc. etc.
thanks

As far as I know, you will be exempted from giving biometrics because they are valid for 10 years. This confirmation you will receive from IRCC after you passed from medicals.
Your AOR is 25th Sep CEC Inland with LMIA employer specific. So, if all goes good, you should expect an update sometime next week.
All the best. Please keep us updated..!

Ok
But isn’t it weird that my background check has already started.
‘Its says we are processing your background check’
Usually it is after medicals.
Is it normal or there’s something wrong
