So good to hear

I'm hopeful now.
Fingers crossed
I'm stuck to my phone entire day since the day they told they will call individually
Hi folks! Does anyone know the difference between "Security" and "Criminality"? Based on a call with an IRCC agent, both are still "In Progress" for me. Do both "Security" and "Criminality" require biometrics?
Criminality and Security together make background verification. Security is usually done with border and international agencies and doesn't require biometrics.
There are two levels of validations with police certificates and RCMP. Biographic and Biometrics.
Biographic is with a search on your name, dob etc. Biometrics you know already.
Whichever countries Canada has tie-up with share biometrics information.
Both of these searches constitutes to Criminality validation.
Congrats

Finally got the call! I'm the main applicant, but they called my husband.
The officer was extremely polite and helpful. She confirmed my husband's information and said the next person on her list had the same application number as him, so she asked if someone else in the household was waiting for a biometrics appointment and asked what was the person's name. She gave the option to schedule the appointment together or call me individually. We scheduled together of course – not a chance I would be waiting for another call lol

Still waiting in Calgary...Postal Code:T3K. Someone posted that when they catch up with the backlog, then they will allow applicants to book biometrics appointments online . That is likely going to be our case in Alberta and BC for most of us still waiting for the call.

I've checked the Excel sheet today (when I have updated it) and I felt bad for those who are still waiting from Spring .

Wow, congratulations! There are so many Jan/Feb Vancouver applicants still waiting for calls. I'm more convinced day after day that the order is random...
Came from a "No Caller ID" number. The woman was really helpful. She just asked for my postal code and then gave me some options of where to get it done, and the first available date.
