Hi, I was wondering if there is someone in similar situation.
I am a principal applicant and I gave my biometrics in 2019. The problem is my spouse. She is a dependent of my application and never done biometrics before.
In this case, will a SC officer call me or my wife? And if I want, can I give MY biometrics when she will do? Because I believe it will boost processing speed rather than being exempt.

Hi there!
I'm in the same situation. IRCC has both our numbers (from the application). I don't know where Service Canada will call. If they will say for me to do it again, that means they have that instruction from IRCC.
I'm trying to read every thread on this forum, and so far haven't seen a person saying (after new rules implemented regarding Previous Biometrics) that Service Canada (which is acting under IRCC instructions) requested to give a Biometrics for a second time.
Good luck and patience for those of us who are still waiting for a call.
Got call from Service Canada now (Unknown Number), Appointment schedule for tomorrow.
The agent didnt agree to schedule my spouses appointment in same call. Said that will be a separate call.

I was able to schedule the appointment for me and my wife on the same call. Actually, the agent told me that she was going to schedule my wife's appointment on the same call
