Dear all,
My wife applied for a visa to come visit me in Canada. The application was submitted online but she did not get the biometrics letter right away. After 5 days, application was updated and she got the biometrics letter but it also asked her to bring her passport the same day she is doing the biometrics. Will the VAC take her passport? or she will have to submit the passport later?

Processing times stated on the IRCC website are only estimates.
Hope she has submitted solid evidence of her ties to return to her home country.... else, she can still submit more evidence/explanations when she visits the VAC for the biometrics

Thanks Bryanna,
The VAC refused to take any additional supporting documents. They just did the biometrics and so far no updates on mycic. I just wanted to include sponsor approval letter that i received couple days back. My wife is doinf MSc in pharmaceutical scriences and she is working as a teaching assistant in the university in Egypt. We included enrolment and employment letters as well as MSc transcript. We attached an explanatory letter that she is just coming for a visit with no intentions at all to overstay since she has to go back for thesis defence and degree completion. And we stated that given she has a pr application in place, she will do nothing to jeopardize it by overstaying. Whether that be enough or not, we will know in a few days. What do you think?
