I think now it is useless to follow this bill as i dont see it becoming law before summer break, i am expecting it to stay in senate till summer break

But totally agree re Committee. They did nothing with the Bill. Just another delay.

Just possibilities in response to Sen. Omidvar and Sen. Jaffer, that's more amendments to come,
There is of course a huge room for suggestions and amendments as long as the door has opened!!

Please someone tell Senator to present a motion to vote on this bill and no more amendments and pass it as it is. This is as per Senate rules.

If conservatives were bringing this bill it would have passed by now for sure.

Senate can present as many amendments they like but in a separate bills.

Yes but there all the other amendments will be refused by the HOC .
Dropping the fees , never going to happen .
Language requirements , they are touching the bill itself on its form , they will never accept that, compared to the fair process part where it was not covered by this bill .
Residency requirements , what else would they touch ? other than that ?
Exceptions for those convicted of terrorism , and there we will be back to the beginning .

They were never open to any other amendments other than the fair process thing .

Actually ,i have a way more productive amendment for them , since productivity is not something they are familiar with : An amendment that would prevent bill c6 from being passed
