LOL @MarceauBletard and @Confused in Montreal. We'd be glad if he takes one during the sitting tonight instead of skipping the Second Reading for a few more sessions like his predecessors. Wow, who thought one would ever appreciate to be dumped on before lol
Breaking news, latest updates for today's sitting:
Senator Lang just got out of the shower, and is making a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, he is also ironing his shirt for tonight. Rumors suggest that he might shine his shoes before leaving his house ...
The problem of this bill is that one size does not fit all.
So you have bound together the terrorist clause which affects one in a million, the language age clause which affects one in ten, and the residency clause which affects all.
Of course terrorism and older immigrants integration are most media catchy clauses which can be debated endlessly thus not affecting one in a million, but affecting us all.
Similar to most Latino immigrants supporting Trump idea of building the wall, I do not have any problems by liberals simply remove the terrorist clause from the bill.

Actually, I care much about the item that applies to one in million. It in fact applies to more than 20 percent of Canadians as it makes two classes of citizens. I have been a citizen for more than eight years and this is the one I care about most.

100% Agreed.
I actually think that if they ditch this item they should as well ditch the whole Bill. I know most of the people in this forum care more about the application technicalities that may change after his Bill but this one is by far the most meaningful ...
According to Senate Calendar there should be a fixed sitting tomorrow (13th), but projected agenda is not updated, does anyone have any idea about this?
