Hi, my wife and I are both holding PR card and now staying at Canada, and we are sponsoring our two years old son right now (since we just moved back to Canada in March this year, and left our son in Hong Kong staying with our parent).
Regarding to the medical report, under Declaration and signature of the person examined or of this person's parent/guardian my parent actually sign that for us, since we are not in Hong Kong and asked our parent to take our son to do the examination.
I already mailed the application, and just wondering is there any problem on it?
Meanwhile, is it possible to bring my son to Canada while waiting for the application, as he is holding Hong kong passport which can stay at Canada for at least six months long. Appreciate your advise.
Can you explain more details on your point (indicated somewhere that they are his guardians pro tem ). Since we didn't say or submit any extra paper to indicate it. Kindly advise.
You need to write some kind of declaration and sign it before a notary public or lawyer, someone like that, saying that until you return to the country, your parents are acting as guardians to your child, and have your permission to make all necessary decisions for the child's well-being and care. Something like that.
It's just something that allows them to act on your behalf in doing whatever is needed for the baby's care, including the immigration process, just in case someone from the government wonders why the grandparents are doing the paperwork and not the parents.
