How is waterloo for IT jobs? Is Mississauga better? I think waterloo would have less competition and greater chance to get a job than Mississauga?

Waterloo is a booming market for early stage tech companies, and there are lots of jobs available. Similarly, Mississauga has a longstanding history of attracting more mature techn companies (i.e., offices for Microsoft, etc.) and there should be plenty of jobs there as well. Given that they are only about an hour or so apart, you could live in one and apply for jobs in both.

Obviously I am biased, but I find the outskirts of the K-W region to be "comfortable", especially compared to the GTA.

To continue the best places to live-in discussions, What could be the options for medicine and health sector jobs?
I'm a medical doctor and my spouse is an Audiologist.
It would also be suitable for me to work in pharmaceutical industry as research scientist,since I've extensive experience in pharmacology field.

Any suggestions, seniors?

As someone who lives & works in Burlington, I totally agree that Burlington is hands down one of the best cities to live in. Yes rent does cost considerably higher but if you can afford it, then this is a perfect place to live.

Everywhere in the GTA is hustle and bustle. Why not consider the northern part of the province (Sudbury, Kenora, Saulte Ste Marie and Thunder Bay?

I am intrested to know if anyone got a feedback or visited or traveled there... thunder bay and other regioms

Would suggest KW for IT jobs and better quality of life than GTA with much lower cost of living. I would do some research about what IT skills are in demand just to make sure not knowing your background. Would disagree what that Mississauga are commutable distance. Not a short commute and if you work in KW cost of living is part of the bonus.

Not sure if you are both trying to get licensed. Not a huge pharmaceutical industry in Canada but Mississauga would be an area I would consider. Lots of larger companies.

Gas prices in Thunday Bay match here in metro Vancouver. But if you travel either directions (east to Sudbury or west to Kenora), then would be cheaper.
