I have a question for people on this thread. My wife/fiancée has an interview next week. Legally we are married with Katb Ktab but we did not have our wedding yet and culturally still considered engaged (we are having the wedding this summer). Do visa officers in Beirut care about this cultural meaning and in which hand we wear the rings? Or is the legal marriage what they look at?

Yes, we submitted a family civil register. I understand that we are legally married. I was just wondering about the terminology to use in the interview (e.g. husband vs fiancée, married vs engaged, etc).
2 days ago mine was updated to decision made! checking my email every half an hour, always checking my cell phone battery, being sure its not on silent mode, w akidddd not to forget every single dream is about the embassy or passport.
I have a question they are requesting police certificate update and a few forms to be sent to the embassy in Jal El Dib - Beirut, they are asking it to be mailed, do you think there is a problem with taking the documents in person or does it HAVE TO BE through the mail?
