Hi Guys, Did anyone got update on BC PNP?
Everyone is still waiting for their nominations as of today with a few people I know that have passed their 7 months of current processing time. They emailed BCPNP and they replied back with the same information of 7 months processing time even though the applicants passed their 7 month processing period last week. BCPNP still hasn't started giving nominations this year yet and i'm hoping they start it this week. The nomination quota has been cut in half this year to 50,000 people getting nominated this year. This reduction has caused the provinces to really scrutinize and choose who to give these nominations due to the low number and seems like they are taking their time to make decisions even when though we are all in process. Most provinces haven't given nominations this year yet apart from 1 province. This is my opinion on whats going on this year with PNPs. They still haven't even started the invitation draws this year. Hoping for the best!
If your employer would like to retain you, they may apply close work permit, and while waiting the decision, you may continue to work (check with your Company), other option extend your spouse and your WP. The best, discuss with immigration lawyer or consultants

Good Luck!!! hope they nominate you before April 2025, then you can apply WP with province support.
How can the employer apply for closed work permit without LMIA ?
applied bc tech on sep 26, still waiting PGWP expiring april, my employer cannot support what other options i got? to extend mostly ill apply for fake extension, to buy some time.
How can the employer apply for closed work permit without LMIA ?
to my knowledge some countries with treaty with Canada don't need LMIA.

agree with your thought, 50% cut was not expected earlier, and the backlog from last year is too much.
Anyone crossed bc pnp processing time and reached out to them for update?

I did last week. Below is their response:

Apparently, yesterday they issued nominations to people under the healthcare category, regardless of their application date. Several people on the forum mentioned it. We’re waiting for updates on other categories.
Any update or approval from BC PNP ?
My application literally just changed to in process. Applied Dec 22 non EE skilled worker (veterinarian).

@leka2 same occupation here but with NOC 32104 when I submitted my application through EE on Sept 2024. Still in process status as of today
Hello anyone under BC PNP childcare express entry wants to share the timeline.
anyone who applied in September got approval or any other update
I applied for bcpnp 16th Oct (healthcare). Nothing yet
New Update today from BCPNP:
"The federal government has confirmed B.C.'s allocation of provincial nominees for 2025 is 4,000. This is a 50% reduction from 2024.
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is planning how to use the program in 2025 due to the reduced allocation. This will determine operational matters such as invitations to apply (ITAs) and the opening of the student streams.
The Health Authority and Entrepreneur streams will remain open.
BC PNP processing times are expected to increase for the rest of the year due to significantly reduced nominations allotted to B.C. by the federal government."
This basically tells us to wait till summer/fall 2025 for our nominations until they finalize their plans and they can continue taking their sweet time for processing and to stop bothering them with asking for updates for the rest of the year. They might now prioritize giving nominations to applicants whose work permit is ending soon this year. Not sure how having fewer nominations increases processing times, it should be faster since now there will be far less applications to go through! Just have to play their waiting game until its our turn.
I wouldn't be surprised if the status stays "in-process" for most of this year now unfortunately

This is the part that confuses me too. But then again, after a decade living in this country, it's been clear from day one that they like to take their sweet time with evvvvvverything. It's like they have 2 employees.
