I went to Peace arch today to flagpole for my work permit. I didn`t wait for the nomination certificate to come by post. I just use the work permit support letter. I feel so relax now that all this is over. Now time to apply to the CIC.

Can I ask something? I also have a support letter from the bc pnp but I'm still waiting for the mail of pnp package, the thing is my entry visa is expired last October, can I still go to the boarder and request a new work permit? Iam afraid that they won't let me back since my entry visa is expired. Thanks my friend.

Hi CanadaHereICome!!

To be honest I don`t know if you can go to the border on implied status. Try to call CBSA for more details about this. You don't need the nomination certificate, only the work permit support letter is enough to apply for your work permit.

The nomination was issued on Feb. 24th and signed on March 3th.

Just one question... On my nomination is saying the following:

"Please note this nominations is not valid for Express Entry."

Does anyone know why? I was hoping to apply on EE. :'(

It seems that you have to be prior registered to EE to be eligible... that sucks...

BC PNP emailed me saying I was nominated and gave me instructions on how to accept it in EE and asked me to confirm my acceptance by email. To this email they replied with the support letter saying I will receive a nomination package within the next weeks.

Hello,

Hopefully someone will be able to help me.
I just got nominated on BC PNP, and I already have a OWP, and it is valid until 2016, however, my wife is with a study permit and I would like to change her status to have a OWP. PNP office won't give me a support letter to my wife, and they told me to go through CIC to get one.

Accordantly to the link bellow, once I am on NOC A, I can just ask for a OWP to my wife, is that correct?
