Congrats to all those who received their PPs back with Maple Leaf visa!

One important question that I think a lot of people have in their minds. How are you people taking settlement funds from BD to Canada, given the 5000 dollar restriction for taking dollars out to Non-SAARC countries? How are we supposed to take more than that amount legally?

Any insights?

kaporer vaje kore niye asben..... .......no matter what the amount is...in canada immigration, they'll just ask you how many dollars [CAD/USD] you are carrying.....you just need to declair...that's it......

Hope to end the process withing next 30 days and will start another massive journey soon: A journey of being established in Canada. Please pray for me and my family.

By the grace of almighty allah, I have received my PPR on 8th December and today I have submitted Passport to VFS. It was a long journey Since May 2011. Hope to end the process withing next 30 days and will start another massive journey soon: A journey of being established in Canada. Please pray for me and my family.

Is there any case for BD applicant of MI-2/3, fsw13 that they got decision made without actually getting the visa.

Would appreciate if someone could share the different tracking status of documents +passport sent through VFS Dhaka.

My one so far is showing the below status:

Visa application, tracking ID No. XXXX Your Visa Application has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office, Singapore on XXXX. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website.

What are the next updates?

Normally you will get DM (in your ECAS) before getting visa and CORP in your hand.

Dear Experienced forum mates,
I submitted med in 22 Jul'14 and updated information+PCC+landing fee+ Fund statement in 08 Aug'14. By this time, I sent a request to correct my present address as provided updated form in the online status on 26 Sept'14.

I'm thinking to send a CSI for passport request since it is 5 months over after submission of Med. I'm seeking suggestion from you whether I should send it now or need to wait more. I'm little bit confused to inquire now.
