I know one person who applied in 2009 and his processing finished within 10 months. Now he is living in Toronto. How did it happen? Is it because he used lawyer?
Most People applied in 2009 and before June 2010 got their visas in 10-12 months.
Coz then, those applicants got the priority over the applicants who applied before 2008.
using a lawyer does not expedite the processing.
I received a letter today through email from Singapore office. They told me to send updated documents.
"You are now being given an opportunity to update your application before it is assessed by an officer. Please submit the documents and information specified below to our office by mail. If the requested evidence is not received by our office within this timeframe, your application will be assessed on the basis of the information on file."
you seem very close to get your MR.
this is my guess. or your status of IP could stay for as long as 1 year as well.
btw, what are you gonna send as they asked for docs update?
I guess you dont have anything to update them.
At ShamimBD and Jnathan,
Thank you for sharing the information. I have received the same mail. They actually asked for submitting the up to date information in their new forms. These forms were active sometimes within the 2011 but as far as I remember, should not replace the older one till 31st March 2012.
However, I think we should send them updated information in their new form. I have seen the application form and is a generic form which will help one to fill it up by itself. You can get more details at

I have received a mail fm SGVO and they asked me to send all updated information including IELTS. I have sent original IELTS with my doc which will be expire this Jan. Now I would like to know whether I should take fresh IELTS result or previous one will be ok? Moreover, if I don't score sufficient or as per their requirement what will be the consequence? Will it lead my application refusal?
