Is it a good news or bad for us that Canada gov is returning applications of those who applied before Feb '08? What an appalling news!!! I'm shocked & terrified!!!

It is definitely a bad news for those who applied before February, 2008. But could be a good news for rest. As because, they are planning (at least claimed to be planning) to complete the cases of remaining person within months.
Hope nobody in this forum has a application date before February, 2008, or if there is any, at least their file is in the processing.

Immigration Australia did the same by returning the Money to the candidates on February 2010 which caused many potential candidate to withdraw and face off from Australian Immigration Plan. Seems like they are following AU.

Heyyy how to enter a quote? :-[...i don really know....anyway, @ sMark: yes you are right. I wrongfully thought status will be updated from Canada. Anyway, no worries. My lawyer says applicaitons will be processed faster now since Visa Offices have alreday stopped processing the applications of prior to Feb '08 applicants. Though the news is a horrendous one for them it might bring some luck for us rest.

very fishy when they say they had to spend a lot of time on stalled applications. if they had, people would get some updates. Fool statements for fool people I guess.

Because ECUS is usually updated on Tuesday every week.
I guess nobody here knows why they picked up Tuesday for upgrading database.
