When does a background/security check gets done? After you done a interview I was told I pass the interview and if I had my Police clearance I would have gotten my visa the same day.
But I sent that off today. This is outland application.
My question is am going to have to do a background/security check? And when and what is that for?

It is to determine if you are admissible to Canada, if you have records of a crime in any country you lived in, they will then gauge from there if they will approve you or not, but that's if you pass the interview as well. Outland applicants usually only get interviewed when the visa officer has doubts about the relationship.
Oh I understand now. no i have none. Never been arrested nor seen a jail cell. Was busy being a mom at 17. I was approved at the interview and would have been granted my visa but because I didn't have my Fbi clearance at the moment I didn't but Ithe was delivered yeasterday to my ov office.
