So my file will be opened ONLY next April 2014 for the remaining processes,
to initiate Security Check or to issue Medicals Request, whichever they decide to do first.

Another thing....I had submitted PCCs for all of us...but for Crimininality still shows 'not started'.
Meantime my PCC will expire by end Feb 2014...!!
Same 'not started' shows for 'Eligibility'....I thought that was completed with CSQ !!

Hi everyone...I am wondering anyone can help me. It has been more than 6 years since I submitted the sponsorship application to get my parents to live with me. End of 2012 they finished their medical check and their passports and all the fees were requested and submitted together with their medical result. In April 2013, they went through a security interview. After the security interview we were no longer able to find out any information other than "it is being processed and the visa process will resume once the security check result is made known to us" or the last response was "visa is pending the results of the backgound verifcation interview". It has been 5 months since the security interview. I understand this security background check last vary but is 5 months long or short? My parents' medical will expire in Jan. 2014. How hopeful they can get their visa before the medical expires?? I really appreciate any comment you can provide.
Both my parents and I have made arrangements/preparations after we know the medical is passed but didn't expect this long delay with this background/security check.

It has two stoppages one at paris and other at montreal.. my question is where will be the formalities for PR will be completed montreal or toronto? as they are supposed to be completed at first point of entry into Canada which is montreal in my case but I m FSW applicant.

check the dates when my in process started, it is now 16 months for me and no progress.
