Background check & verification.

Hi,

I submitted an express entry (CEC) application on Sep 15, 2020 and still awaiting update on the application.

Recently I raised a web form asking for updates and stage of my application.

This was IRCC's reply:

"We verified the information on file and can confirm that:

• The background verifications are in process.
• The security background verification has not been initiated.
• The criminal background verification is currently valid."

Now I am confused, perhaps someone can answer this:
1. Does that mean I am already past eligibility review stage?
2. Does anyone know about the background verification process?- as per above I am assuming there are 2 stages for background verification- criminal record check on the basis of information provided by us i.e PCC (might include cross checking) & security screening from CBSA (to know if the person is marked as dangerous to the society and is under watch by CBSA)

Please answer.
