Background check status changed to Not applicable

Two days before my background check status changed from under process to Not Applicable. Could anyone please tell me what is the reason ?

As far as I know. Its IP 1. Now it will be IP 2 and PPR.

IMO,
IP 1 confirms R10 check.
IP 2 for eligibilty.

In R10 they check your documents for completion etc. and determine that everything is in order and you have provided all the needed documents correctly. If you pass this stage it means, your documents were complete and as per requirements.
After this your eligibility is determined to check your education, confirm CRS score and check experience, i.e they check whether you are eligible for the program you are applying and meet the criteria you claimed in your EE profile. this happens at IP2 stage.

Medical pass doesn't guarantee R1O right? I passed medicals on 3rd June and bg is still NA. So if it changes to in progress and to NA again, then only can I be sure of R1O isn't it?

No it doesnt. Ok your R10 is about to start soon, your status will change to "Next step is..." and then NA. When it turns NA you are safe.

Ok you are about to go to IP2. It means you passed R10 check for completness. Now they will check your Reference letters, POF and criminality etc.

So reference letter check is during the last step. That means I will have to keep my boss happy and not mess with him for another couple of months. *sigh*
