the general rule is that mississauga must receive the document as part of the entire application package (or visa office upon request) within 3 months of it being issued. mine was received within days of it "expiring" and i never had any additional requests.
i would still send it in, and order another one ASAP. FBI checks are now taking 12 weeks to process. You might get lucky, and they may not request a new one, though most likely they will.
