back ground declaration confusion with education.. indian system

again got confused at while filling out the education column of background declaration form.

i studied nursery, lkg and ukg in india and then started from grade 1 to 12

now the question is what should i fill in box for elementary or primary school and how many years goes into the box for secondary or high school?

Nursery school period doesn't countable. Normally elementary is grade 1 to 5, (it is various by countries) From 6 to 12 secondary.

I think in india 1 to 7 is elementary hence 7 years, 8 to 10 secondary hence 3 years...is it ok

I am confused as hell regarding this question.. Can any successful applicant please please confirm this..

In my opinion, as per Indian Education system (CBSE and most State Boards) durations should be:

Primary School -----> 8 years (Class 1st thru Class 8th)

Secondary/High School ----> 4 years (Class 8th thru Class 12th)

University College ---------> 4 years of Bachelor of Engineering (or 3 years of Bachelor of Arts) + 2 years of Masters degree = 4+2 or 3+2

My numbers were totally wrong when I think of it now. 12 years for primary, 2 for secondary and 4 for university. Still I got Biodata and medical request. I don't think you need to break your head over this.
What you have mentioned seems right and go ahead.

Elementary 8 years
secondary 2 yrs

In india we get different certificates for grade 10 and 12 i guess

High schools are only consider in Canada , in Punajb they have Primary Schools, Senior Secondary High Schools ,Colleges, Universities
Primary Education is 5 years
High school is 7 years
Colleges usually 3 years ,could b 4 so depends on study level...

so basically it would b different in Indian states
