Hi,

Does ny one knos the how to deal with ARC in case of family sponsorship. The sponsorship was pproved by cpc mississauga but and lvo has issued a passport and medicl request.. Does anyone knows how withh the ARC be dealth with in case of some applicant who i inadmissible in canada due to previous overstay in canada.

If your doing a sponsorship wait for the vo to ask for the arc payment and letter explaining why you overstayed and why you should be allowed to return to canada. We just did that for my husband in end of april

Thanks for your response..a few questions.. Did the applicant called for the interview for this reason? Also did this delay the case? Nd what needs to be written in the letter. Thnks

My husband wasnt called for the interview as of yet and i think he wont be as they asked for the arc and we sent it end of april. The letter has to explain why you didnt leave when you were supposed to and explain why they should let you come back. If you dont mind me asking which vo are you with?

Also, how long after you submitted the docs that you got the arc request

Not sure either. In some other blogs i read that not every vo asks for an explanation letter They just ask for the fee

The vo received our file end january and they asked for the arc mid april

My husband needed an ARC for his sponsorship.
There was no interview required.

we just waited for the visa office to ask for the fee and letter and than waited for them to approve it and send his Visa

the case doesnt usually get delayed because of it, but the ARC does add some time to the application on top of regular processing times.

its different for every office.
for Mexico city its about 2 months additional time to approve the arc.

With your arc did they ask you to send a guia prepagada ? And what exactly did they send back to your husband? Just a letter saying he has authorization to return to canada?

What is guia prepagada? We have not reached the fee or letter stage yet.. Or now they have asked or medicals, police clearance and passports.

Also did you obtain a police clearance from canada? What is The process for that?

They will ask you for the police certificate when they send you your Aor. Thats how it was for us. If you have been in canada for more than 6 months they will. Thats how it was for us. Wehad to get a fingerprint based one sice my husbands name is common. The guia prepagada is a prepaid airway bill through a courier of your prefrence.

Evening all,

I noticed that most people mentioned 'overstaying' when it comes to the ARC. I didn't overstay and ended up leaving within the window they asked. So... what's gonna happen with my ARC, and anyone else on here perhaps who is just a failed refugee but didn't overstay?
(Met my husband way before i was refused, he was even in court with me on the day of my horrid trial, and I left within the legal window of time... so what would they ask me for my ARC since i didn't overstay? Only the reason why they should let me return?)
p.s. i'm applying via Vienna.
