Iam June CEC applicant. I have had Meds passed, R10 passed , Elligabilty& Criminality all passed. My BG check is NA and has been since ADR Oct 4th..i called a CIC agent a few weeks ago and he said to manage my expectations it could be April until i get a response. So i assumed i was i SS. Im from Australia & Only lived Aus & Canada. I called again this morning & the agent advised that they have put a 4 month buffa on CEC apps as there is a backlog & i might expect an answer in March but everything on my application looks good..... so whyyyyyyy are ppl getting their PPRs 1-3 months and mine gets pushed back ?!?! It just doest make any sense- anyone else been told this?
P.s the lady advised i wss NOT in SS.... im so confused

I got my PPR today and the VO they have asked me to submit my passport to is Islamabad, Pakistan. This wouldn't be a problem except that I am now based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Got here a month ago. This is a development I informed CIC of as soon as I arrived here and have already updated them with the local address. Additionally, I also informed them that my dependents are as yet not here and would be submitting their passports in Pakistan.

My questions are the following:

1) How do I submit my passport to the local VO? I have already opened a CSE but any guidance would be much appreciated.

2) Can my family submit their passports in Islamabad while I submit mine here?

For anyone who is suggesting sending my passport through courier or anyone going there: It is a crime in my country of origin to do so and it is something that I would highly prefer to avoid.

Hey Congrats !!! ... btw what was your timeline ? I think the best option would be raising CSE , and it should help

Thank you! My timeline was as follows:

ITA - First week of July
AOR - 12th Sept
IP1 - 21st Sept
NA1 - 29th Sept
MEP - 13th Oct
IP2 - 18th Nov
PPR - 22nd Nov

You can reply on top of the original email from Islambabad and ask them to change your VO to your current location. You should get reply in few days. I got mine from Ottawa in 2 days. In your reply email to Islambabad VO, copy Riyadh canadian embassy and Ottawa both. After 2-3 days you should get a a mail from Riyadh asking you submit your passport. You can take print of the email from Riyadh and your family can take the print of the original Islamabad mail while sending passports. Ottawa is very fast in sending the emails and they also do followups. For your case, I am not sure how long it will take them to respond.

What's your timeline again? Did you background change to ip 2 directly from ip 1?

Not sure why only Aug cec applicants are specifically put on hold, while Sep & Oct are getting ppr already. Looks like those Aug applicants stuck in a same officer's hand who are processing June & July at this moment, while other officers are working fast to process Sep & Oct already. Just my assumption.
